Provides advice and information on food and nutrition as part of medical treatment for healthy living. This may include education on general nutrition, heart disease, weight reduction/gain, diabetes and modified fat diets. The Dietitian is available for individual consultation, group work and health promotion activities. All dietary advice is planned individually with the client.
Occupational Therapy services are provided to the frail aged and younger people with a disability who live within the Hepburn Shire. The service includes home based assessments, equipment prescription and home modification advice. Services are also provided to Creswick and Daylesford Hospitals, and aged care facilities within the region.
Physiotherapy assists those recovering from illness, injury, accident or surgery. Treatment can include massage, manipulation and remedial exercise. Other programs include hydrotherapy, gentle exercise classes and a health maintenance program, which includes strength training.
Podiatrists are highly skilled foot health professionals, trained to deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. Diabetes assessments and footcare also available.
This service provides assessment and management for clients of all ages who have communication and swallowing disorders.
Volunteer drivers are needed for patient transport and delivery of Meals on Wheels . . .
