Auxiliaries
The first auxiliaries for Hepburn Health Service (then district hospitals) were formed over 50 years ago. Many auxiliary members have been dedicating their time for Creswick, Daylesford and Trentham hospitals for many years and are an integral support to our service.
The invaluable contribution that hospital auxiliaries make to our service and the wider community cannot be underestimated. Hospital auxiliary members are committed teams at Trentham, Creswick and Daylesford who give generously of their time and spirit to the staff, patients and community. If you would like to participate in this valuable work, please contact reception at any of our campuses for more details.
Murray to Moyne
The Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay is a charity event consisting of a 520km bike ride from Echuca to Port Fairy. Our local team - the "Daylesford Wheelsuckers" - recently participated for the 20th year in a row.
We are grateful for the continued fundraising efforts of the team who raised $22,000 in 2012 to purchase:
- A new defibrillator for Clunes campus
- Contribution towards appliances for the upcoming kitchen redevelopment at Creswick
- New sets of weighing scales for Trentham aged care
- Contribution towards upgrade of patient's laundry facilities.
This fantastic result was made possible by generous community donations and support of the Trivia and Auction Night held annually in March. Over the years the Murray to Moyne Team has raised almost $250,000 for Hepburn Health Service.

Volunteers
Volunteering is a way of actively participating in the community.
Volunteers are an integral part of providing high standards of care, supplementing and enhancing the care that staff bring to the wellbeing of residents and community members. Some opportunities to volunteer with HHS include:
- Transport Program
- Meals on Wheels
- Planned Activity Groups (Clunes and Trentham)
- Social Support
- Gardening
- Aged Care Activities
- Lolly Trolley (Daylesford)
- L2P
Training, support and orientation to volunteer programs is provided. A police check is required.

L2P Program
The L2P program is designed to assist the youth of Hepburn Shire achieve 120 hours of driving experience before they obtain their P plates . . .
Student unit accommodation
New student accommodation at Daylesford Hospital was officially opened on 9 May 2013.
Volunteer drivers needed!
Volunteer drivers are needed for patient transport and delivery of Meals on Wheels . . .
Accessible Eating Guide
An Accessible Eating Guide is now available for Hepburn Shire. The guide provides information about how easy it is to access local eateries, including physical access, menus, toilet facilities, background noise and the level of lighting.
Trentham Senior Activity Group
Members of the Trentham Senior Activity Group come together on Tuesdays to share current affairs, delectable morning teas and break bread together at luncheon.
Hepburn Shire pre schools get tooth-friendly
Children in Hepburn Shire Pre Schools are learning how to look after their teeth as part of the Smiles 4 Miles health promotion program being run by Hepburn Community Health Service and Dental Health Services Victoria

Local Women's Community Health Group wins State Award
The local groups SWISH (Supporting Women in Strengthening Health) and SWAT (Supporting Women around Trentham) from Hepburn Health Service have won the 2013 Minister for Health Award for Outstanding Team Achievement for Rural Health Services in Victoria

Staff Giving Program
Hepburn Health Service's Staff Giving Program provides the opportunity for staff to make regular donations to an agreed cause. Recently, staff were delighted to present $7,120 to the Bairo Pite Clinic which is based in Dili, the capital of Timor Leste.
